Vaping Vs. Cold Turkey

The Heck With Cold Turkey!
The Heck With Cold Turkey!

I know, I know, its been a while since my last post. I actually ran out of things to blog about regarding vaping to be honest. Also, there was a time, 1 month to be exact, where I went vape free. I just didn’t have the urge for it anymore. I got a new job where there were only 2 of us at the office, and taking breaks meant you had to leave the other person all alone in a hectic office. I couldn’t take my breaks as often, so my vape would stay in the car. By the time I got home I was too tired to blog, or even vape for that matter.

Right now, I have become more adjusted to my new work regiment, so my time and my mind is a lot more clearer. Here’s something I though was appropriate to blog about for the new year: quitting smoking.

My experience in the past was I would start cutting down on my smoking by the start of November. By the third week of December, I would smoke around 1-3 cigarettes a day. December 27th would usually be my last cigarette for that year. Sadly, I would find myself smoking again by February; bumming cigarettes from friends then gradually working my way up to buying my own pack.

As systematic as I thought this method was, and it worked for me well, there were some drawbacks around the second week of January. I would feel chest pains, cough up phlegm, and second hand smoke would smell oh so good. I would like to blame these factors for causing me to fall off the wagon year after year.

With vaping though, I never experienced none of these. Whenever I had the urge, I would vape even more or buy a higher dosage of nicotine e-juice to give my lungs that kick it needs.

So for all those people out there saying quitting cold turkey is the worst way to do it, try vaping. It worked for me, and it worked for thousands of other people out there from what I read.

Happy 2014!!!

Former smoker turned vaper since 2013. I blog about questions that I and others might have about vaping. All I can say is it's a better alternative to cigarettes, nicotine gum, patches or medication, no matter what the Big Tobacco backed media says!
