Today we will discuss something people refer to as “Vaper’s Tongue.”
This is the term that describes the loss of taste due to constant vaping. Other people call it “Vaper’s Fatigue.” It’s actually happened to me a couple of times, and I tell you it sucks.
This is common with people who stick to one flavor, or all day vape juices. I am guilty of this too. I don’t mind having too much variety, as long as my e-juice tastes good. I will buy bottles of the same flavor for fear of it going out of stock, then grow tired of it later on. This is no way to enjoy vaping.
1. Variety – I now buy at least 3 different flavors whenever I go shopping. When my taste buds aren’t as receptive to one flavor, I switch. Also, have a “reset” flavor ready. Mint, menthol and cinnamon are known to reset your taste buds. Try vaping these flavors in between.
2. Hydrate – Another thing you have to understand is that vaping dries out your mouth. When the mouth is dry, its hard for the tongue to taste anything. I always have a glass or bottle of water with me when I vape. Keep your mouth hydrated, and your taste will improve.
3. Good ol’ coffee – If all else fails, here’s a trick wine connoisseurs do whenever their tasting skills aren’t in their best shape. Sniff ground coffee. Sniff, don’t snort, I wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself.
So there you have it. If you tried all three and still are experiencing vaper’s tongue, please see your doctor. Other than that, these quick fixes should do the trick.
