Switching From Clearomizers to Cartomizers

The mighty little cartomizer
The mighty little cartomizer

Its great how these apps for phones work. I am writing to you now from my phone. I have been very busy with work and I do apologize for the delay, but i have to pay the bills.

Okay, enough of my weak excuses, lets get down to business. I wanted to write about this topic today because I consider this as a next step a newbie vaper could take in vaping, switching from clearomizers to cartomizers.

What is the difference between a clearomizer and cartomizer anyway?

For those of you who don’t know, a clearomizer is a tank that usually uses wick to absorb juice into the heater in a tank. If you buy a starter kit, this is usually the stock tank that they give you.

A cartomizer, on the other hand, uses a cartomizer (duh). Basically, the whole set up is different, and does not use wick at all. Instead of using the wicks to absorb juice, a heating wire covered with foam material used to absorb the juice is found inside the cartomizer.

Why I chose to switch to cartomizers

For me, there are casual vapers (those who are content with just vaping), and those who want to take a step further. They either want more vapor, more flavor, or more kick in vaping.

I wanted to try carts because of the flavor. After a while, i started tasting the wick in my tank for some reason, and thought that i could get a different vaping experience.

What I found out about cartomizers

I prefer cartomizers over clearomizers. I was right with one thing, the flavor was much better compared to the clearomizers. Also, i did notice better vapor production.

The only downside in comparing to clearomizers is that it does take more work to use. There is something you should know about using a new cartomizer, and that is you should know how to prime your cartomizers before using them or taste the awful taste of a dry burn. They also need to be replaced regularly. I recommend buying a pack of cartomizers which ends up being cheaper and a lot more convenient.

What is priming a cartomizer?

It is basically saturating your cartomizer in juice for the material to absorb the juice properly. It always pays to find a good vape shop because in my case, the store associate showed me step by step on how to prime a carty. Here’s a video which i think is useful in showing you how to prime a cartomizer.

I always believed that the more valuable something is, the more care and work is involved in it. This might be the case in cartomizers, but it will surely get you closer to that vapng experience you are craving for.
