E-Cigarette Sales In Prison Help Taxpayers

Now to shed some positive light on vaping for a change, U.S. jails in most states are allowing the sale of e-cigarettes in their facilities. This is due to the nationwide budget cuts. More details are in this article.

The jail, which has an average daily population of about 110 inmates, buys each e-cigarette for $3 and sells about 80 a week at $6 apiece. That profit helps pay for inmate uniforms and other supplies, which eases the burden of the taxpayers.

Unfortunately, this is NOT the type of news vaping has been getting recently. As a matter of fact, this wasn’t even the title of the article. The article was focused more on why Texas sheriffs were wary about allowing e-cigarette sales in their prison, while others simply had no choice but to do so. For those who have started selling, it has given them more funds that enable the prison to function properly.

This article doesn’t focus on this but instead wants to make something out of nothing and  deny the benefits they are actually seeing from this move.

So I decided to flip their story and bring out the real message in the data they covered, e-cigarette sales are good for us taxpayers. Enough said, let’s just keep it at that.
