Online Survey Shows More Truckers Trying Vaping

The online publication Overdrive recently concluded an online survey which asked the participants if they have ever tried to vape. 63% of the participants said yes, which co-signs the fact that vaping is becoming the modern choice of nicotine delivery.

Smoking has become somewhat synonymous with truckers, it was estimated with the survey that 60% of truckers here in the United States are smokers. Blame it on the long drives, and the constant need for nicotine to stay awake and deal with stressful situations on the road.

The article does not argue that vaping is a healthier alternative to cigarettes, but it does caution readers of long term nicotine use which leads to cardiovascular disease, a claim that still has yet to be proven. With 7,000 chemicals found in cigarettes, it’s kind of inaccurate to point the finger at nicotine alone while letting the other 6,999 chemicals off the hook.

The article also addresses the vaping truckers who vape at zero nicotine, they came out to 3%.

This is good news, but really isn’t anything new if you are into vaping. If you are a former smoker who vapes, you know that cigarettes are dead and there is nothing Big Tobacco can do about it.

Despite malicious research done against vaping, the movement remains strong and keeps on trucking.

Former smoker turned vaper since 2013. I blog about questions that I and others might have about vaping. All I can say is it's a better alternative to cigarettes, nicotine gum, patches or medication, no matter what the Big Tobacco backed media says!

    1. That’s awesome! It must feel great to break a 2 decade-old bad habit. I wish the survey included the number of smokers who stopped smoking and transitioned to vaping.

Anyway congrats to you again and keep vaping!
