List of U.S. Politicians Who Are Against Vaping

Source: Ultimate List of Anti-Vaping Politicians

I came across this post yesterday on UK Vapelounge which I think would be very helpful for us vapers here in the U.S. who are planning on voting next year in the elections.

Thanks to the internet, here is a list of U.S. politicians who have come out and opposed vaping for whatever reason they have.

What was very alarming for me was out of the 16 officials on the list, only one of them was a Republican. Now for those of you who are not too familiar with the 2 party system we have here in America, traditionally the Republicans represent the conservatives, while the Democrats represent the liberals.

You would ASSUME that because vaping is something new and goes against the “traditional” way of smoking (cigarettes) that the Democrats would rally behind this newer, safer, and “progressive” way of getting nicotine.

This is not the case as you go through the list. It almost seems that the Dems are in agreement to regulate, tax, or even downright ban vaping in the United States.

I am not promoting a political party in this post at all; what I want to point out is the obvious stance of the Democratic party, from Governors down to the Congress, and where they stand when it comes to vaping.

Check out the list below:

Senators

  1. Ed Markey (D-MA)
  2. Richard Durbin (D-IL)
  3. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)
  4. Barbara Boxer (D-CA)
  5. Sherrod Brown (D-OH)
  6. Robert Menendez (D-NJ)

House of Representatives

  1. Gerald E Connolly (D-VA)
  2. Andre Carson (D-IN)
  3. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC)
  4. Anna Eshoo (D-CA)
  5. Nikki Tsongas (D-MA)

Govenors

  1. Robert Bentley (R-AL)
  2. Tom Wolf (D-PA)
  3. Jay Inslee (D-WA)
  4. David Ige (D-HI)
  5. Jack Markell (D-DE)

The list was taken from this post which also has links on how to contact these politicians.

Former smoker turned vaper since 2013. I blog about questions that I and others might have about vaping. All I can say is it's a better alternative to cigarettes, nicotine gum, patches or medication, no matter what the Big Tobacco backed media says!
