A few posts ago, I published a little list of American politicians who were against vaping. Majority of those politicians, wait, to be more specific, all except one of the politicians mentioned were from the Democratic party.
I came across another article titled: Liberal Billionaire Tom Steyer Donates $1m To Hike Taxes On Smokers And Vapers
Really? What gives Mr. Steyer? What is your major problem with vaping? What agenda do you have in where you would discourage people from vaping?
Why is Tom Steyer and the other Democrats even preventing people from choosing if they want to smoke or vape? Are they trying to create a smokeless/vaporless utopia?
I don’t agree with cigarettes, but at the same time if that’s what you want to do then “to each their own.” I believe in free will as long as they it in the boundaries of society. It’s your life, your money, and as long as it is legal (cigarettes are still legal, right?) then I don’t see why I or anyone else should stop you from smoking.
Trust me, I know how hard it is to quit smoking. If you can’t stop smoking and you don’t like vaping then hey, I’m not gonna FORCE you to stop smoking. At the end of the day, it’s your body, your choice, your free will!
I’m really sick of this over-regulation going on right now, especially when it comes to vaping. As for vaping legislation here in California, it looks pretty bleak since both our senators and representative who have made their position known on where they stand when it comes to vaping. And they aren’t on our side.
I wish these politicians would take the time to really understand vaping first before proposing a bill that would alter it completely. Don’t pass a law based on misinformation just to keep yourselves in office. Also, these fear mongering tactics you all have going on (commercials on TV, local news stories of mods blowing up, etc.) isn’t cute either. It’s misleading and all that it is intended for is to gain support for the passing of your very misguided bill.
Let me say this: any politician who is ill-informed about vaping while trying to push for the unfair taxation and/or the banning of vaping here in the U.S. will definitely not get my vote!
