What’s The Better Stealth Box Mod? Pocket Rocket Vs. NEBOX

Today we look at a couple of stealth box mods that were released a few of months ago. Let’s break them down and determine which is the better of the two.

For those of you who are wondering, stealth mods are mods that are hidden from view once griped in your hand. The tanks are inside the box so the only protruding piece is the drip tip.

These stealth box mods are great for two reasons: they are practical to use outdoors as they keep your vape discreet from non-vapers. It’s also a great travel mod which you can either put in your pocket or hold in hand, ideal for people who like to vape on the go.

Pocket Rocket 40w box mod

  • Design – personally, I think the Pocket Rocket is the better looking among the two. It reminds me of the Billet Box which is almost the exact same set up.
  • Airflow – I hear complaints about the airflow for the NEBOX and not so much for the Pocket Rocket, so I have to give it to this mod.
  • Compatible with both Aspire and Kangertech coil heads – This is an awesome feature. The Pocket Rocket was made initially for Aspire coil heads, but there is an adapter piece that lets you use Kanger coil heads as well! More options for you.

  • Chip – It uses a DNA 40 clone chip so don’t expect it to be the most accurate at reading your builds. Also, wattage tends to go bonkers sometimes on the display, but it doesn’t affect your vape at all.
  • Battery life – Since it only uses 2 18350’s, it won’t last as long as the NEBOX.
  • Display covered by battery door – Some people might not like that you can’t see your display without removing the battery door, I personally don’t care.

nebox 60w tc mod

  • Battery life – It houses a single 18650 battery and will last longer than the Pocket Rocket.
  • Chip – A much more stable chip compared to the Pocket Rocket due to that fact that its an authentic mod by Kangertech.
  • Higher wattage – The NEBOX rocks all the way to 60 watts while the PR only goes up to 40.

  • Airflow – This is the most common complaint I hear about the NEBOX. Some users report it being a little restricted and tight to the draw. However, other users seem to don’t mind so I guess it all depends on your preference in airflow.
  • Not being able to test fire your coils – Another gripe some people have with the NEBOX is not being able to test fire or dry fire your coils since in order to fire, you have to screw the coil head in the tank.
  • Design – For me, the design of the NEBOX is a little on the plain side. Doesn’t really stand out and not much to mention in terms of looks.

I hope I helped you if ever you were looking for a nice stealth box mod. If any of you guys are interested in buying the mods above, there are links in the pictures.
