A recent survey about vaping conducted in Malaysia showed that 82.6% of those who switched from smoking to vaping reported improvements in their health.
The survey was conducted earlier this year with 7,000 Malaysians participating.
Other findings in the survey were 91.4% of the correspondents noticed improvements in breathing, 74.9% had better sleep, 89.5% had a better sense of smell and 88% noticed improved taste.
Two-thirds of those who started vaping never went back to cigarettes, while 27% were able to reduce their smoking due to vaping.
My experience with quitting smoking through vaping
I’m not surprised by the results of this survey, and I’m sure a lot of you out there can agree as well.
I had the same experiences when I started vaping instead of smoking. I remember the phlegm balls I used to cough out in the morning when I brush my teeth suddenly disappeared.
I started to appreciate food more because I could taste it better. Certain foods I remember not liking at all were suddenly edible when I stopped smoking.
I also started hiking as a little hobby. I still get winded, but I’m not sure I would be hiking as much if I were still smoking.
And like the two-thirds of those in the survey, I never went back to smoking cigarettes.
Vaping is still the best way to quit smoking
If you ask me, I definitely believe that vaping is the best way to quit smoking. I’m glad surveys like this are being done to show the positive effects of vaping.
