5 Tips On How To Blow Bigger Clouds

5 Tips To Become A Cloud Chaser!

When I first started vaping, I was fascinated by the videos I would see online of other vapers blowing superhuman clouds of vapor like it was nothing!

“How do they do that?” Something I would ask myself as I watched in amazement.

The more I watched “cloud chasing” videos, the more I wanted to do it myself.

This is for all the newbie vapers who want tips on how to generate more vapor production.

A word of caution though, please, and I say this with all sincerity, DO NOT BLOW BIG CLOUDS OUT IN PUBLIC! Our community has a bad reputation already, mostly because of misinformation, but don’t add more heat by being a douchebag. Most people (non-vapers and non-smokers) HATE seeing big clouds of vapor being blown especially in their direction.

Be considerate of others. Vaping is to get off cigarettes, not to show off in public. It is also not a way to give you self-gratification and a feeling of superiority over others and other vapers. Just because you can blow big clouds doesn’t make you a “better” vaper. We are all equal in this community. We are all overcoming years of addiction to cigarettes.

If you vape just to look cool, to look “in,” or to get attention, do us and yourself a favor, throw your vape away or give it to someone who really needs it.

That being said, here are 5 tips on how blow bigger clouds of vapor:

As smokers, we have become used to the mouth-to-lung hit, where we inhale into our mouth, then to our lungs, and exhale.

The problem with that in regards to blowing bigger clouds is most of the vapor dissipates in your mouth, leaving fewer vapor once you exhale.

Cloud chasers inhale directly to their lungs, getting a much bigger vacuum to get more vapor.

If you aren’t used to this type of inhale, you will cough, but eventually will get over it. If you do keep coughing, don’t force yourself. It just means that this isn’t for you, stick to mouth-to-lung.

Back when I started vaping, I had to watch tutorials on how to wrap my coils on my atomizer, how to drill out holes, etc.

Lucky for you guys, sub-ohm vaping is easily available. Not only that, most tanks out now are catered to sub-ohm vapers. Pretty much anything with “sub-ohm” attached to it will give you bigger clouds. Any atomizer that reads 0.5 ohms and below will give you more cloud production.

The rule here is, the bigger your air holes, the more vapor you will suck in. Very simple.

If you like your air holes tight, you won’t be getting as much vapor as you could. Open those babies up!

Only downside is it sort of affects the flavor. But hey, you’ll be getting bigger clouds in exchange.

If you want to get more technical about getting more vapor production, there are tons of videos on the internet that will show you step-by-step on how to make vapor-chucking builds.

More importantly though, if you do choose to learn how to build your own coils, make sure you get a very thorough understanding of the precautions that come with coil building. Too many people you see on the news having their mods blow up in their pocket or hands, don’t be one of them!

If you still are using a vape pen and want to blow bigger clouds, you’re doing it wrong. You’ll need something big enough to power the low resistance atomizer you have.

Buy a mod, a dual 18650 mod or any box mod will be good enough.

So there you are, 5 tips on how to blow bigger clouds. You are now a self-taught cloud chaser.

With bigger clouds come bigger responsibility. Be considerate to others and make sure you know the safety measures that come with cloud chasing.

How To Make Your Coils Last Longer

Yup, time to change those coils!

Probably the one thing people love the most about vaping is the variety of e-juice flavors you can choose from.

Not only that, but e-liquid makers have been doing a very good job at replicating some of our favorite snacks and candies.

Whether it’s baked apple pie, Fruit Loops cereal or strawberry sherbet, most manufacturers have been pretty spot on when transforming deliciousness into liquid form.

But no matter how good your e-liquid may taste, a very important factor in getting the right taste lies in the condition of your coils. Once the gunk starts building up on your coils, it’ll turn things around real quick.

It really bums me out when I start getting that burnt, metallic, rusty taste in my mouth. You know what that means, time to clean or replace your coils.

But if you’re like me, cleaning or replacing your coils isn’t something you look forward to. I actually hate it. From dry-burning your coils to re-wicking it, it something I’ve grown tired of doing.

So over the years, I’ve been trying different ways on how to avoid doing this thing I hate, and some of these tips have helped me a lot in avoiding this inconvenient yet necessary chore.

Here are some tips on how to make your coils last longer. They’ve worked for me, and I’m positive they will add extra mileage to your coils.

Stay away from dark e-juice – Back then, I was a very big fan of custard e-juice (thanks to Nicoticket’s “Custard’s Last Stand”). I vaped everything custard related.

I also noticed that I’d get that burnt taste more often. Whenever I would pop the lid of my tank or RDA, I’d see a mess of brown cotton and black coils. Gross to look at, even more gross knowing I was vaping on that.

Come to find out, the dye they use on darker e-liquids stick to your coils and cause buildup. They’re like a magnet on coils.

Another bad thing about having buildup on your coils is it affects the heat. You might notice your vape getting a little weaker, so naturally you would turn up the wattage.

This will do very little to improve your vape (compared to clean coils of course) and will drain your batteries even faster.

Now I’m not saying you should avoid dark colored ejuice if that’s what your preference is; but you should expect to clean your coils more often as compared to using clear e-liquid.

Thankfully, there’s a way around it, which brings us to our second tip.

Use ceramic coils – I’ve been using ceramic coils for the past few months now, and I absolutely love it! There’s a big difference when it comes to lifespan and taste between ceramics and wires.

I know some vape purists out there might dis me for what I’m about to say but I’ve just gotten tired of coil building. I’ve been doing for so long, the whole wire wrapping started feeling redundant to me.

With the current ceramic coil tank I’m using, one coil head will last me anywhere from 2 weeks to a month! And that’s with chain vaping too.

Using disposable ceramic coil heads also took building my own coils out of my hands. The vape is damn near perfect for me.

The only downside to using ceramic coils in my opinions is it uses up juice a lot quicker. I’m saving more money now with the ceramic coils, but on the flip side I’m also buying more e-liquid.

But yeah, I don’t have to worry about gunk affecting my coils as much anymore. Ceramic coils have much longer longevity compared to Kanthal, SS, Nichrome or any other wire.

If you are looking for a good ceramic tank that is cheap, easy to use, reliable, and more importantly performs great both in flavor and vapor production, might I suggest the Vaporesso Estoc Tank Mega with EUC coil.

Another thing I love about this particular brand is I could cycle through different eliquid flavors using the same coil without ever having to clean it. The coil somehow cleans itself, and the flavors never mix. I guess it’s the way it was built.

It’s currently listed at $19.00 at Heaven Gifts, but you can knock 30% off the price when you use the code XMAS30 at checkout.

Follow these tips, and the chances of you having to clean out and re-wick your coils will drop dramatically!

Read This Before You Use Vaping To Quit Smoking

I wish someone had told me these things before I started vaping.

Although I did manage to quit smoking through vaping, I also would have avoided more cigarettes early on if I followed these rules.

Before I go into more details, let me give you a little background of how I started vaping. The day came where I finally decided to buy my first vape pen and e-juice.

I thought I was just going to the shop, do my business, badda bing badda boom and I’m out. No, the store owner starts asking me questions like “what type of e-cigarette do you want?” “What nicotine level of e-juice?”

The store owner was very patient and helpful, but the bad thing was I could have made a better purchase if I knew better. I bought this little (about the size of a cigarette) vape pen which I ended up getting rid of 2 weeks after.

If I could turn back the hands of time and tell my smoker self what to do differently, it would be these 3 things:

Know Your Nicotine Level

Going back to my story, I didn’t know what to say when the owner asked me what nicotine level I wanted my e-juice in.

I thought, “Hey, I wanna quit smoking. So the best thing to do is zero nicotine!”

So I get my juice (fruit punch flavor) and was happy. I did notice that vaping was not satisfying my urge for cigarettes. The e-juice I bought, although it was delicious, felt like I was just inhaling flavored air. It’s like going from a beer to drinking water.

After I did more research, I found out that the nicotine levels provide that “kick” in the lungs smokers have grown accustomed to.

Here’s a better explanation of nicotine levels that smokers might better understand:

3 mg nicotine = ultra lights

6 mg nicotine = lights

12 mg and up = regular

So depending on what you are smoking now, you can base this equation on what nicotine level you are supposed get. I go into more detail about this in this post: “Why Am I Still Craving Cigarettes?

Buy a Mod, Not an E-Cigarette

Listen, as you start vaping, you will be doing it more and more. The biggest problem I had with my vape pen was it kept dying on me, so I’d go back to the cigarettes while I was charging.

This is why you need to go with a mod. At least a mod that holds an 18650 battery. This will give you enough power to last you through the day. Oh yes, get an extra 18650 battery and a charger!

I know, e-cigarettes or cig-a-likes feel more like the real thing, and holding a mod will feel awkward at first. But if you want to get into this vape life, you’re gonna need something with some power.

Get a Good Tank

You guys are lucky, tanks have made very big improvements since I started vaping.

You want a tank that’s easy to use, and can translate your e-juice flavor into something wonderful. I would personally suggest the Estoc Tank Mega by Vaporesso. Super easy to use, cheap, and gives an amazing flavor!

And please, don’t get anything “rebuildable” for now. No rebuildable tanks or drippers if you are just starting off with vaping. Watch some videos, get a good understanding of how resistance works, and then try it.

All should go well if you follow these simple steps. Good luck to you on your attempt to quit smoking!
